PANEL DESCRIPTION
Ratings are subjective and change with the tastes of time.  Cigar Presshas instead developed a blind tasting system that is completely unbiased in order to reflect the quality of craftsmanship and tobacco in the cigars themselves.  We are not assigning number values, rather detailed descriptions of each cigar.  It is up to the reader to decide if the cigar sounds like something that would fit their personal taste.

Cigar shop panelists will be sent a package of cigars, re-banded with Cigar Press tasting panel bands assigned number and size values (e.g. Lancero #1).  They smoke the cigars in the stores, allowing their regular customers to participate if they choose.  With each cigar, they fill out an evaluation form with detailed notes.  The characteristics they focus on are construction, body, flavor, complexity, and overall smoking experience.  After each panelist has returned their evaluations to us, we take the results and summarize the characteristics that are common to each of the five panelists’ notes to best describe each cigar.  No ratings, no numbers, no judgments are made, that part is left to the individual.
